Summary: Has been a top product for me. I've had it going on 3 years travelling the world and it's stood up to that well. It took a hit recently being flung from a bag around waste height, hit the deck with some force and its been working fine since.
Summary: I bought the 1 TB MiniStation almost a year ago and have had zero issues. The built in USB cable is very convenient and makes it easy for travel. I have also accidentally dropped this a few times from max of 3.5 feet onto wood floors and the case has held up nicely without damage.
Added security for the files and programs that you do not want to lose.

Summary: With this hard drive you don't have to worry about losing your files and programs due to a drop or hitting it. Gives me a piece of mind. You get what you pay for, yea it's a bit pricy, but worth it.
Very disappointed with product and support - stay away

Summary: I am very unhappy with the product and the support from Buffalo. I bought this as I had had a disk failure in my laptop and needed somewhere 'secure' and 'reliable' to keep all my files, music, correspondence, personal admin and finance information.
Summary: These Buffalo ministation portable hard drives are great. USB 3.0, blazing fast. Military grade meaning if it drops 7' it will not break. This is well made and easy to use. My WD external hard drives are collecting dust. Get for transferring large video files.
Summary: I love this product! I love how quickly my files get transfered via the USB 3.0. I usually get scared having to plug and unplug large hard drives due to it failing to eject and then possibly losing all my files. So far this product is pretty stable!
Summary: I was looking for a reliable ruggedized external drive that would standup to normal everyday usage. I did not expect the drive to withstand extreme abuse or misuse, just the normal wear and tear of daily use and transport.
Summary: I bought the Hard drive to replace my old USB drive. The Buffalo is self powered and a space saver. I really liked that it came with the software installed on the drive. It was very fast. It took less than 2 hour to do the total backup after the software was installed. I am running USB 2.0.
