Pros: Big and fast
Cons: Failed within one year. Buffalo offered to replace, but beware: "support analyst" indicated they do nothing to destroy user data before shipping it back to OEM in China. With no way to remove data from the drive, I'd rather eat the $170 than send personal data into a black hole. (I might add that...

Summary: I have owned a series of external drives over the years. (As my data amount increases, I need more storage.) Among all of the drives I've owned, I've never had one die on me. This drive lasted less than two years and then died, taking my precious data with it. (Thank the maker for Time Machine.
Summary: This is my 2nd purchase of this type and brand of external hard drive. I use it to backup movies on my DISH network "Hopper" dvr receiver. Both of my drives work just great. I intend to use a usb switch with these drives to be able to switch between each of these drives and probably will purchase...
Summary: Installation was as simple as plugging in the drive and hooking up a USB cable. After about 30 seconds my drive was ready to use. After I installed the included TruboBooster software, transferring files was blazingly fast. I transfered 32gb in a matter of minutes.
