I like it because after 15 months, it's still alive! :)

Summary: Seriously, I read all the "died after 8 months, 15 months etc" and go "aww, too bad." Been with PC for 30 years and today's HD is as reliable as ever, the technology is mature, there is really nothing to break, but of course bad luck always creeps in. OK 6/2014 and this thing is $199! GASP! I believe I paid like $150 (2TB) 15 months ago, don't these gadgets get cheaper over time?
Summary: I use this all the time with my 3.0 ports to back up files and it's fast and reliable, I've never used any software with it so I can't comment on that, Windows 7 recognizes it every time very quickly. I've had other Buffalo drives and they all work great, I will definitely use them in the future, this was a great purchase.
Summary: I bought this drive to plug into my existing Buffalo 2TB NAS at home. I simply powered it up and connected it to the USB port on the back of my Buffalo NAS and instantly got another 2TB of storage capacity on my NAS which I used to back up 4 laptops on a schedule.
Summary: Used it less than 5-X for backups. Went to plug it in last night. Power will NOT come on!! Buffalo offered to send me a new power supply but I don't think that's the problem. I liked Buffalo's Wireless Router, but I would NOT buy a Buffalo backup drive again!
A good, reliable hard drive. Only the shape could be improved.

Summary: After 3 months this drive is working well. It appears reliable, the only thing that could be improved is the foundation. By this I mean that when the drive stands upright it appears very prone to fall over if something should bump into the table. Otherwise this product is working well 3 months on. I hope to make use of this drive for a long time.
Summary: It looks great and works just as good as I had hoped for. The only problem is when I plug it in with other laptop I cannot make any adjustment at all. It seems like it is locked but I couldn't figure out how to unlock it on my mac.
Summary: WARNING! This drive failed after 5 WEEKS!! There was NO power failure, my computer didn't crash, it was not abused or mishandled; the hard drive JUST STOP WORKING and I lost every file on it. 5 weeks was just long enough to make sure that the return and/or exchange policy was NO LONGER EXCEPTED. NEITHER amazon OR buffalo technology WOULD CONSIDER EXCHANGE OR MINOR REFUND!!!!!!!!! NOT TO BE TRUSTED! PURCHASE AT THE COST OF YOUR OWN DATA LOSE!!!!
Summary: Had this drive for about a year, i really take care of my stuff, i didnt not drop it nor did it overheat. I am a photographer, so here i am trusting this stupid brand and backed up all my pictures and well what do you know the minute i was about to back those pictures up into a CD just in case S%*! like this happened, BAM!! Drive starts beeping and clicking, not being recognized by my PC. called them up and was reffered to Drivesavers.
