If you are looking for an easy-to-use, efficient external drive for your Nintendo Wii U, look no further.
8 September 2014
Summary: Compatible with Nintendo Wii U. Using this model exclusively for my Nintendo Wii U. This model is officially endorsed by Nintendo: "We have found that this external storage device will work with the Wii U system; this device has been subjected to basic performance tests." I can concur with that statement. This drive runs quiet and fast.
Summary: Fast. Easy to use. Excellent non-invasive backup utility. So far, there's nothing to dislike, but I haven't owned it long enough to give it five stars. At this point, I would absolutely recommend it. Works flawlessly.
Summary: So far, so good with the WiiU! I had another HD attached to the WiiU after buying the system and it just stopped working. Make sure to buy a tested HD (the nintendo site has a list) to avoid frustration. I don't use it for anything but the WiiU, so this review isn't too helpful for people needing a regular external HD for files and backups. I'll update later when it ages a bit. I've never owned this brand before, but it was very easy to set up.
Summary: I just bought this product 2 days ago, and it works fine. I would love to share my experiences with this product eventhough I didn't buy it from Amazon. It's easy to install. I just need to plug it and I've not experienced any difficulties. No bad sector, I made 3 partitions in it and no difficulties appeared.
Summary: I bought this solely for the purpose of being an external hard drive for my WiiU gaming system. Opened it, plugged it in to the WiiU and clicked format on the WiiU settings screen, and it was done in a few seconds. Already downloaded a few games and apps on it, and have had zero issues thus far. Very happy with this purchase.
Summary: The positives of this hard drive are pretty much only that it is a hard drive... So it does serve that purpose. It comes with software that someone else might find useful, but I've found fairly annoying... placing a pop-out bar on my desktop in the most asinine of places as well as overriding Windows's own copy/paste feature with its slower and more error prone "Turbo Copy." It also gets extremely loud and has slowed my boot time, sometimes rather significantly.
