Summary: I've used Adata's rugged external HD's for years. I do a lot of travel and commute on a motorcycle. So far they have withstood everything thrown at them, they have been dropped, rained on, and exposed to vibration that would have killed any other drive. I currently have six of these drives and have never had a failure. If you travel or are otherwise a bit rough on your equipment there is not a more rugged HD out there.
Pros: Rugged enough to withstand considerable amount of abuse. Excellent value for the money.
Cons: Cable does not attach to the case (was a nice feature on the USB2 version)
Summary: A very good deal at $79. This ruggedized Hard Drive should hold up to minor physical accidents very well. Currently have a older SH93 going in for warranty claim, so will be nice to have another for the time being. Only concern is about heat build-up as the HD is encased in rubber.
Summary: A nice case helps protect the harddrive from the elements, and living on the "wet coast" it has already helped keep the unit dry. Also dropped it today, plugged it in and no issues. It is quiet, fast and obviously reliable.
Pros: Small, lightweight, fast read/write, shock/water resistant
Summary: Really liked this product at first. Used it to backup my complete PC hard drive and it was very easy to use. Sadly after 3 months or so using it once a week it failed during a backup. Subsequently it failed to be recognised by the computer and just made beeping noises when plugged into the USB port. Thankfully I only use it as a backup so I haven't lost any data.
Summary: Arrived quickly and in perfect condition, very good value for money and would recommend to any one needing a portable hard drive. my only one criticism it that the USB cable is not a standard fit so if the cable got lost or broken you would have to get a replacement from the the company who made it.
Summary: Beautiful looking drive with a nice soft touch case. It's only slighty bigger then a deck of cards so can be easily stored or taken with you. Massive 1gb storage and it works great. USB powered so no other adapters needed (the usb3 cable supplied has a double type connector at one end for the drive and a normal usb connector at the other). Apparently this has shock (military standard) & water resistance and thats great in a portable drive.
