Summary: Good dictation machine. I use this primarily for dictating letters, notes and pleadings in a legal office. It works about the same as an old cassette tape dictaphone that I still have as backup. Our office is transitioning to the fully networkable electronic version. The big advantage here obviously that it is completely electronic and networkable.
Summary: I purchased the original dragon and, after much training as a young lawyer, the program got better. Thereafter, I relied on paralegals to handle transcription until purchasing Dragon 12 but was still skeptical of the feature to transcribe dictation from recording devices such as the above. Because the incredible clarity of the microphone and the ability to correct as you dictate, this recorder has made my practice far more efficient.
Summary: I am a physician who has been using this device for the past several months. I have become extremely frustrated because of at least two design flaws which have resulted in lost dictation and countless wasted hours. First, the data card at the top of the device pops out much too easily, and as this is not always immediately obvious, one can continue dictating not realizing that nothing is being recorded, thereby resulting in lost notes.
