Definitely a joy to play

  • Summary: I bought this as an upgrade from another Yamaha (CGX-171CCA) and couldn't be more satisfied. I use this as my main instrument playing classical and jazz in small-ish venues (weddings, restaurants, small clubs, etc.) where I need to plug in most of the time. My previous Yamaha had a cedar top so I'm still getting used to sound of spruce, but the sound projection is great and the pickup controls (separate volumes for bass and treble strings--awesome!
  • Pros: Good Feel, Good Tone, Solid Electronics

  • Summary: I had been searching for a good nylon/classical guitar for quite a few months and played quite a few in different stores. I walked into a store this week and saw one of these on display. Now I mainly play steel string acoustic and electrics, so classical necks always made my hand cramp up after twenty minutes or so, Not with this guitar thankfully! You could be a blind person and feel the dramatic difference in the neck and balance.
