Great Vintage style Strat!
19 September 2009
Summary: Picked one of these up couple weeks back. I really well built beautiful 60's style Strat but with nice changes. Flatter and chunkier neck than the 60 reissue's - Two point Modern trem, Large Frets and those Great!!! 69' Custom shop pickups. I owned a AV 62' Reissue and I like this guy allot more. This guitar is well worth checking out!
Summary: Having owned an american stratocaster a few years ago, I am in a position to compare these 2 guitars, and in my opinon the classic player 60s strat is the equal of the standard american strat. The custom shop 69 pickups provide some wonderful tones for all genres of music but for my particular taste of blues and blues rock, this guitar is perfect, I really love this guitar, its one to keep.
Summary: Looks really cool, sounds even better! Perect for anything from Hank to Hendrix via the blues. Be aware that truss rod adjustment is a bit of a pain via the heel of the neck, so you have to loosten the neck to get at the adjustment screw. Also unlike most strats, this comes fitted with 10s rather than 9s. Fit and finish on mine were pefect, I couldn't be happier with it, its my new favourite instrument.
