"My Favorite Strat"

Summary: I agreed to consider a trade for a Classic 50s Surf Green Strat, even though I thought that I wouldn't like the color. However, when I saw the guitar I thought it was one of the best looking guitars that I had seen. The only thing that I plan to change on it is the pickguard. The solid white pickguard just doesn't match the beauty of the guitar. I have another MIM strat and a USA made Hwy1 (upgrade)strat and this one is my favorite.
Summary: This guitar is very good overall. It's not perfect, but no one expects perfection out of an $800 guitar. I do not plan on replacing it at this time, however I am planning several upgrades to it. That is why I bought it. I will probably, over time, end up changing all of the hardware on the guitar with aged pieces.
Excerpt: "The Fender Stratocaster is a great guitar no matter what style you like to play, it can play nearly any style imaginable. The sound quality out of any Fender Stratocaster is amazing, it can be soft and sweet or it can be hard and heavy, also the fact it is made in america means that the quality of the pick-ups are amazing. The shape of the Fender Stratocaster is iconic you ask anyone to draw a guitar they will draw the Fender Stratocaster. One of ...

I was impressed with the playability of the neck and how well it was set up out of the box (didn't need to change anything)! Overall this is a very handy guitar from bedroom ...
Excerpt: "I got my Fender Blacktop Stratocaster in February of this year - so I've had it a few months now. I got it to use as an alternative to my Les Paul to provide me with something different tonally and playability wise. It certainly ticks these boxes! I feel that I should say that this wasn't my first choice - I originally had an order placed for a flying V - but, after playing on in a shop I very much fell in love with the feel of the neck and just ...
Pros: Amazingly playable . Great range of tones . Very well priced .
Cons: Not as 'sexy' as Les Pauls . Components perhaps a bit sub - par .
