Summary: I got my Sony PRS-700 back in 2007. I love it. I bought this one because the soft cover broke and I couldn't find one for sale alone(for my model) My original still works great! It doesn't glare in the sun, it has a light built into it, it is light, the touch screen is great, the battery life on it lasts for at least a week (less so if you're using the light) You can bookmark, make notes highlight and create collections.
Worked ok as long as plugged in, battery did not hold a charge.

Summary: I bought this as a christmas gift for my daughter-in-law. It worked ok but would not hold a charge, so she can only use it when it is plugged in which makes it unuseful when traveling and when unplugged it has to be set up all over again when turned on. I also had bought another one the same type two weeks prior as a gift and it worked great.
Great item! Love it! Missing some awesome features, but still great.

Summary: This is much better than reading a normal book. It's amazing! It was a little dissapointing that it lost a lot of features from the prs 600, but still really great. Best part is that it has a backlight.
Summary: To let you know how much I am frustrated with this product- I think I've only ever written one other review on here. Do NOT buy a Sony Reader. I have owned three of these things and every single one of them has had issues. The screens constantly freeze, if it's not that, then there is an issue with the interior charge port coming loose or the power slide breaking. This past December, I think my husband got tired of my grumbling and he bought me a Kindle.
Summary: The product screen was so dark that words could not be easily read on the device. I got the product for a good price but I did not want to keep it once I got it and the seller balked at me returning it.
Summary: I've had the PRS- 700 since they first came out, got it as a gift, and I love it. I know it's not as clear looking as their other models and there is glare from hell, but I love that built in light and the angle at which I naturally hold the reader, the same as I do my paper books, makes the glare a non-issue for me in most circumstances. When it is a problem a slight angle adjustment fixes it. The battery life was awesome when I first got it.
