Summary: I purchased a Sony Reader almost two years ago, and after 2 years of use I can say that this is one of the best purchases I have ever made. I have read more and have saved money because of this device. I love physical books, but the bottom line is I love reading more than the book aesthetic.
Summary: I bought the Sony ebook reader this spring as a gift for my husband. After 4 months I have to say that it's been a success. I like the fact that it supports multiple formats, including the open .epub format.
Summary: I recently purchased the PRS 700 through Amazon (via. a 3rd party) after reading many reviews comparing it to the Sony PRS 505 and the Kindle. The biggest complaint from reviews seems to be the reduction in screen quality and glare from the 700's touch screen.
Summary: This is my first digital reader. I was trying to decide between the kindle 2, sony 505 and sony 700. I spent alot of time reading all the reviews and finally narrowed it down to the sony 505 and 700 (due to the fact that we are not in an area that recieves high speed wireless signal for kindle and...
Summary: I was looking for a reader to buy for my wife for her birthday. The main need for this was for the reading, highlighting and annotation of PDFs for her studies. Most of her PDFs do not include charts, tables or graphs so that simplifies things. Also she wanted it for reading ebooks.
Summary: Main goal for me is to read technical pdfs. Originally bought a netbook and this worked fine but was still too cumbersome for just simply reading those files. Sony 700 pleasantly surprised me as being a viable solution to this problem.
Summary: Some few days ago I received my Sony PRS-700 in the mail. Like a kid on Christmas morning I was aquiver in expectation, and it did not disappoint. I have watched for over a year now the advances that e-book reading technology has taken, and finally decided that it was time to take the plunge.
Summary: The Sony PRS 700 is an excellent product. I am an avid reader and have had several ereaders. Besides the 700, I own a PRS 505, an Ebookwise 1150, and previous to that, its predecesor which was marketed by RCA.
Summary: Ok, first of all, excuse my English. I live in Germany and so English is not my native language. But now to the most important things. Over here, the PRS 700 is not offered. Germany just started selling and offering eBooks officialy through 2 big book stores, so this whole issue was brand new to me.
Summary: I have sitting in front of me the Sony PS-505, the Kindle, and the PRS-700BC ebook readers. There is no question that the PRS-700BC is the best of the group. All of them function well and do what is expected but the additions to the 700 make it a step above the others.
