Excerpt: Before I purchased my nook earlier this year, I had a Sony eBook reader with touch screen. It was the PRS600 model. It cost me about $170, which is really only a freckle less than the nook costs now that it’s been out for a while (I bought the nook when it was fresh off the manufacturing line), and there isn’t a whole lot bad I can say about it. First off, it looks far better than the Amazon Kindle e- reader .
Summary: I like this item because it does not require WI FI It does bother me that sony is making it hard to find there readers and I have invested alot in e-books. Kindle or sony need to make it where you can read on either reader or sony needs to keep up and make there readers easy to get.
Summary: Horrible , to much glare on display and contrast cant be adjust. please avoid to buy it. Horrible , to much glare on display and contrast cant be adjust. please avoid to buy it. Horrible , to much glare on display and contrast cant be adjust. please avoid to buy it.
Summary: Nice basic ebook reader with two sd memory card slots for added storage space.Third Sony I have owned. All have been purchased on eBay at a great price.I've given two away to first time eReaders to learn on.
Summary: My second of these, one for me, one now for wife. Old enough now to be quite reasonably priced used, but plenty of memory available with 2 expansion slots. Sony library app. not the best, but other good ones available free on line. Charger a good thing to have as charging through USB port is cumbersome, as entire library has to reload. Good used should be twenty dollars plus shipping. Easy on the eyes, and several useful options.
This is a basic e-reader but not a good or great reader.

Summary: I am so glad I only paid $20 (including shipping) for this unit. I bought it just to see what it was like. I would guess that this is the very base model of the Sony readers because it is not a very good one. The functions (very few) and the print quality seem to be OK. However, it has no Wi-Fi or 3G capability. Loading new books on the unit is very cumbersome and you need some form of PC to do it.
Summary: IIn 2008 I got the Sony 505 ereader for christmas. I took execellent care of it and it still is working great. I love it. I now have a 600 black and my daughter had the 300 red, my nephew's wife has the 300 silver. I got all 3 off ebay and they are still working great. My sister has my 505 now and she loves it also. Highly recommed the Sony ereader have not had any problems with them ever. I did have the T1 for my daughter but sadly it disappeared.
