Summary: I so enjoy the new digital readers out there...I was a book lover before but now I am an absolute avid reader! I have had the Amazon Kindle (I & II), Sony PRS-300, and this Sony PRS-505. Out of all of these e-readers, I like the Sony PRS 505 the best.
Summary: If you read couple books a week, then a electronic book is a must. No more having books all over the place. Its easy to read, can make the words as large as you like. Been told that you can but textbook on it.
Summary: I'm 30 and because I have no kids, I spend a lot of money on tech toys. I'm not sure how the Sony Reader stacks up against my other electronics... it isn't used as often as my iPod and isn't as cheap as my DivX player... so for its cost, I expect to be able to use it for years to come.
Summary: I am so happy with this e reader and I really can zip through a lot of books. Easy to read in bed. I am reading a book with over 1800 pages and would not be able to hold a book that size for very long.
Summary: This is truly a great device. My red Reader has provided me with new companion during my travels. This reader is portable and convenient to carry in my purse, so I am never far from a book. I love Sony's Reader site and I have downloaded over 20 free books and purchase a few too.
Summary: I have now had this product for over a month now and I still love it. The clarity of the screen is fantastic. At times I have to remind myself that it is actually an electonic screen that I am looking at.

Summary: I've compared the 500 and this one, the 505 side by side. The 500 series looks like something from the 1960's TV show Star Trek. Yes, this one, the red 505, looks like it came out of an ultra-modern, latest generation CGI big budget film. Elegant, sleek, and stylish.
Summary: this item is for someone who doesnt mind downloading book to your pc and transfering to over to your e-book. No newpapers,no magazines. The READER works great, I am hoping for improvement on the E-libary you download to interact with Ebooks.
