Summary: Whew, this thing is awful. Freezes all the time. When it freezes it takes five minutes of pressing the reset button to fix it. Battery definitely doesn't feel like it lasts for 6,000 pages. Use as external storage device worked once and then never again. Music player is worst interface ever(no ability to skip within track or save where you left off so useless for books on tape or podcasts). Still, I only paid 30 bucks so I can't complain :) I'm going to keep using it.
Summary: Love this e-reader - perfect for a sunny vacation. I downloaded my books quickly through my Barnes and Noble account and I was very happy to be able to read my book in the sunlight! Also, the size and weight of this e-reader is great, just slip it into your handbag or beachbag.
Summary: This is the worst ebook reader Ive ever used, The menus and page turns were slow, and the whole screen blinks like its dying every time you touch it, there is no brightness control so its too dark to read in the dark or the light for that matter. I tried to enlarge the font and the device locked up. too many unneeded functions slowing it down. I bought an itomic for $ 25 two years ago and although I dropped it, its still better then this.
Summary: Great ereader for my basic needs. Upon arrival, I read 1000 pages in one day with no fatigue. You can't beat the price. Worked great with formatted PDFs, epubs, and doc files. Love using with a ritual library! Does crash occasionally but works for me.
Summary: I bought this in a hurry when my Kobo died while I was in the US, and I have to say it's incredible value for money. It's a bit big and clunky for what it does, and it doesn't have the fastest page refresh rate, but I'm keeping it as a back up in case my new Nook dies as well, and for that it is incredible value for money. It really does do what it says in the tin, nothing fancy or beautiful, just very functional and an amazing bargain.
Summary: My only disappointments are that the screen's clarity seems slightly less than a Nook, it doesn't read text files, and pdf's can be shifted on the screen making for difficult reading but works well with standard epub format. Reliable, light, simple, elegant.
