Customer service sucks ...

HAO Y., Newegg
8 June 2012
  • Summary: My Kobo touch broke after 11 months of light use, I emailed Kobo and they promised to send me a replacement one, however, I waited for nearly a week and nothing happened until I contacted them again.
  • Pros: It's not bad when it works
  • Cons: The micro USB port tends to get loose with normal use after a while ... and their customer support sucks ...

Johnnie B., Newegg

  • Summary: For just $99 this is a fantastic purchase for reading on the go!
  • Pros: - The display is fantastic! The Kobo Touch uses the latest e-ink technology. There is no glare even in direct sunlight. - Amazing battery life! I am a fairly light reader so I regularly get 2 months of use off of a single charge. - The eReader is extremely light weight and very comfortable to hol...
  • Cons: - With Borders bankrupt the main brick & mortar company selling these has gone away. However, with everything moving online and the wonderful support offered already this has not been a problem!

  • Cons: I've had to do a hard reset once after a firmware update where I lost a lot of sensitivity on the touch screen. After the reset, everything was working just fine.

  • Summary: After less than 2 month my battery will no longer charge. Get a kindle instead.
  • Pros: Very nice e-ink display.
  • Cons: Very slow, the kobo desktop software is buggy, support is very poor, half the time you'll only get the automated response.
