Summary: The Kobo stopped working within weeks of receiving it, we returned it and it was replaced. The second one had the same problem within a few days so it was returned again, this time for a refund, and we ordered a Kindle.

Summary: I have owned a Kindle Paperwhite (stolen) and then decided to give the Kobo Glo a chance (and I love Amazon, just like checking out the little guys every once in awhile). When all things are equal, which they are for ereaders; then go with the company with the best customer service.
Summary: I bought a Kobo Glo a few days ago but it was impossible to set it up as it requires the Internet to do so. It is not a simple switch on and use it reader. I had to download the required software and install in on my PC. That worked fine.
Summary: I liked this e-reader. It had a good backlight and collections that could be managed from Calibre. However, only five months after buying it, the screen froze up. Initially the screen was clear (just unresponsive), but it gradually became more and more distorted.
Summary: I really wanted to like this product. The haptic quality of the screen is great. The hardware is lightweight and nicely designed. The software and functionality is another story. For me, the responsiveness is very, very, very.... extremely slow. Seems like something is wrong.
Breaks after a while, get a tablet or other brand!!!

Summary: I've owned this item for less than 6 months and it's still in MINT condition. It promptly froze up the other day and after contacting Kobo CS they said I must have dropped the item even after I sent pictures of it clearly showing I had not dropped it and it was mint.
Summary: Do not buy any Kobo product. Search for Kobo Screen Frozen, Kobo Died, or Kobo Customer Support. See what Kobo has wrought, weep and then purchase a Kindle or Sony e-Reader. I have the great misfortune of owning 4 Kobo Glos.
Summary: My Kobo Glo froze and stopped working after three weeks. Kobo "customer service" had me send pictures of the front and back of device and proceeded to tell me the picture proved I damaged the Glo. It was never dropped and was in a protective sleeve at all times.
Summary: I really wanted to like this. It is a great size, the screen is clear, pages turn quick, love the light, touch inputs are responsive, battery life is great, and the rest of the hardware exceeded my expectations. However, the software lacks two key features that destroyed the whole experience for me.
Terrible quality. History of faults and poor customer service.

Summary: We bought a Glo in the sales on 26 Dec 14. Downloaded one book from the Kobo website and the whole screen corrupted. We returned it 01 Jan 15 and Kobo said it was due to impact damage. They refused to repair or replace it. Don't touch these things with a barge pole.
