Summary: The best e-book reader on the market. Backlight works perfectly. Wifi connection works fine enough, able from a distance. Ideal for those who complain about not reading enough. It really inspires you to read more with so many books at hand.
Summary: Overall a very good product. Contrary to what the others indicated, the screen illumination is of a lesser quality compared to Kindle Paperwhite 1st generation (the LEDs on top are visible and create a brighter line, on the bottom one can see a dark line and all of this is quite irritating).
Summary: A number of years ago I was a reluctant convert to reading e-books. I love the feel of books, but books can be heavy. When I knew I was nearing the end of a book I would bring two more along with me so I would have a choice when it came time to pick the next one. This would make my purse VERY heavy. That was the first problem that lead me to consider reading an electronic version of a book.
Summary: Absolutely love it. I would sell my smartphone before I would let go of this reader. Perfect size. Fantastic performance and battery life. My only wish is that color e-ink screens were viable. If/when they become availible it is my hope that this be reoffered with a color e-ink screen and no other changes. It's that far too rare occurance when an item does exactly what it is supposed to do without flaw.
Summary: I was a fan of Sony, but since they left the ereaders' market, I did research for what else was out there. The Kobo Aura seems to be the best ereader out there (as for Oct'14th 2014). Compact design, the front panel is completely flat, so you can cover the whole face with screen-protector (like an iPad). 1Ghz speed, 4 Gb memory, bright light, high-resolution, SD-slot, what else do I need? The price on Amazon is way beyond the border: $153.64 + $4.99 shipping!!!
Excellent E-Reader. Much preferred over Kindle Paperwhite!

Summary: I purchased this as an alternative to the Amazon Kindle Paperwhite. I have been very happy with it, and especially love being able to easily use it with various programs. Accepts many formats, great battery life, the screen is very easy to read, sensitive and responsive to touch, and the backlight is great. Highly recommended!
Summary: I've been using the Kobo Touch for the past few years but really wanted a lighted e-reader. As I've been generally happy with Kobo and wanted to stick with the brand, I first considered the Glo but was put off by reports of an overly bright low setting, and so I looked at the Aura. Everything I read from reviewers and users was mostly positive, and so I decided that it would be my next e-reader. I have to say I am very happy with my choice.
Summary: This is one of the best e-readers I've had the pleasure of reading on. I used to be a Kindle kind of gal, and while Kindle has some awesome features that Kobo does not *yet?* have, one thing that I didn't like was how unreliable all my Kindles turned out to be. Those of you Kindle users out there probably know what I'm talking about - frozen screens while trying to highlight a quote and eventual deaths by getting stuck on a random screensaver.
