Great

EBF "EBF", Amazon
5 April 2014
  • Summary: The Kobo has many features that I like and find helpful. I love the light for those times when it is needed. The size is good. Every now and then I will be reading and the unit will go into sleep mode for no apparent reason. It does revert to the text in a minute or so, but it can be annoying.

I recommend

Raissa Menezes de Oliveira, Amazon
30 January 2014
  • Summary: I didn't thought I would like it so much. I like its size, weight and I really enjoy the experience of reading. It's my first e-reader and I it was not hard to habituate with its technology, actually I think I prefer read an ebook than read a paper book.

this Aura Reader arrived in like new condition and works as described

Recliner Reader "Sandy", Amazon
19 October 2013
  • Summary: With electronics, there's always a chance that used may be compromised. Buying through Amazon makes it worth the risk, as they stand behind the purchase. Given that, this Aura Reader arrived in like new condition and works as described. I love it, love it, love it. It's my third reader.

This is a great alternative for those who prefer a non-Amazon device.

toobusyreading "Inspired Kathy", Amazon
19 October 2013
  • Summary: I was offered a Kobo Aura for review last year when it came out but I've never reviewed it for silly reasons. It's hard to write a review on a product you don't use often. I rarely use my Kobo for no other reason that I'm lazy. My biggest issue has nothing to do with the device itself.

Buy a Kobo Aura, but don't buy it here

David Sims "David Sims", Amazon
19 October 2013
  • Summary: I bought a Kobo Aura for $122 elsewhere. The price here on Amazon is too high. Although both Kobo Aura and Kindle Paperwhite are very good eReaders, there are reasons for why someone might prefer the Kobo Aura. 1. Aura's CPU runs at 1 GHz. Paperwhite runs only at 800 MHz. 2. Aura has 4 Gb of RAM.

almost perfect

Fenris Wolf "truth seeker", Amazon
18 October 2013
  • Summary: This is a beautiful thin light weight e-reader. the light is perfect. the one reason i am giving the Kobo Aura a 4 star review is that the wave form screen technology which allows it to refresh the screen only once every chapter has the down side of lessening the contrast.

A good reader if you have the budget

Louise Mcgregor, Amazon
28 November 2013
  • Summary: I have had my Kobo Aura for 3 months now and I use it almost every day. In that time I have charged it twice and I mostly use the backlight. I chose this model because I like the two-finger method to increase screen brightness and change the font.
