Summary: Like the functions but is hard to integrate the software when you have kindle and library books using kindle software for kindle, kobo software for books bought through Kobo, and library books that have to be downloaded using ADE (Adobe Digital Editions.

Summary: I like my Kobo reader, but I'm not in love with it. I mainly chose the Kobo because it let me buy ebooks from local bookstores I support, which is important to me because I want my neighborhoods to continue to have bookstores I can browse in and get recommendations from.
it showed artifacts on screen and misaligned lettering

Summary: It's disappointing when you think you're making a nice present for someone and then turns out that you got a bad unit. Although this item was a dud, the return process was fairly smooth and people I communicated with through email were courteous.

Excerpt: Forgive me if this looks odd, having a try with the formatting thing! Reason for Purchase As an avid reader, I never leave the house without a book. Ever since I was a kid I've been somewhat shy, and found my greatest friends were the characters I met through the stories I read.
Pros: In built dictionaries and wikipedia function, backlight, responsive
Cons: The store has changed and the light button is hard to see . Feels flimsy
Summary: Everyone should be aware that there is no way to "lock" this device (as you can with any other device these days, it's expected). Without protection anyone can open your Kobo and see what you've been reading, they could also plug it in and download all personal files on it.
Summary: Nicely built, but software is buggy. If you are one who likes to make highlights in the books you are reading avoid this device; making a highlight is extremely frustrating and often will cause serious lags on the device.
