Bookeen Cybook Opus

ginia, REVIEW STREAM
23 March 2014
  • Excerpt: Openly there is reason for everything. Everything happens for a reason no matter how we may choose to think other wise. Life never goes the way that you want it and that’s just the bottom line. I was disappointed when I got the Bookeen Cybook Opus offline. It wasn’t that I got it offline, it was because I got it and didn’t like it. I hate everything about this piece of merchandise. I can’t stand the way that it looks at me when I walk past it in the room.

Excelente and beautiful eBook reader.

joseantoniorodas, Ebay
19 August 2012
  • Summary: This is the best eBook I´ve had. It’s very comfortable to use, excellent screen contrast and resolution. The battery live is excellent and, the fact of being the lightest eBook reader in the market makes a difference when reading and traveling. The case that comes with it is excellent; I believe is the best, because it offers the best protection you can get. The only problem it has is the opening of PDFs.

  • Summary: I have tested and/or use Nook, Sony PRS-900 and for the price I found that Cybook Opus offers best value and some of the features offered by it or not available in other more expensive products. I really liked following about it: *You can read HTML and text files on *You can use any fonts you like at 12 different sizes for epub, html & text files *Glare free and whiter display compared to Sony.
  • Pros: Great Features, Lightweight, Long Battery Life, Powerful

Good Looking

Fineart, J&R
22 February 2010
  • Summary: Clean cool looking design - not alot of buttons and squares like kindle and sony. the epub compatibility is good over kindle because i can shop for best price on books with this. the lack of cool features like 3G wireless and a touchscreen would be nice. The price was a little higher than the lowest price sony, but the sony is lacking too much style for me and sony had a lot less internal memory.
  • Pros: Adequate Storage, Compact Design, Easy To Use, Fast, Good Compatibility, Long Battery Life
  • Cons: Price

Hard to use

  • Summary: We had a heck of a time figuring out how this E-book reader works. We followed the directions closely and still had problems. We also had a problem with the USB Icon super-imposed on the screen of the E-book while trying to read a book. Quite odd. We are going to send our E-book back and try another one, possuibly the touch screen Sony. This Bookeen was tough to understand and use.

  • Summary: I'm soooo glad I found this device. Its light and stylish, perfect for my commutes and travel. I find the booksonboard.com for downloading books a very good source for my ebooks, so thank you bookeen for getting me going in such a positive direction with my new reading experience. I struggled with deciding on a Kindle but hated, hated - the design - this is soooo much more stylish.

  • Summary: I looked at the Sony version, but figured I was just paying for the brand name. While comparing features the Cybook seemed like a stronger version. I made a good decision because I love the Cybook! Its a painless process to get books on the device and easy on my eyes while reading. NIce and light too!

My New French Friend

Chelsea_Lady, J&R
15 October 2009
  • Summary: I went in for a Sony but the sales rep at JR also pointed to this. I liked its style and how light it is. I kept touching the screen so that was annoying seeing its not touch screen. Once I learned the navigation, I'm very happy with this. These guys are from Paris so design and style is spot on! My friends call it my new Parisian friend seeing I always brag about it!
  • Pros: Easy To Setup, Easy to Use, Quality Construction
  • Cons: Touchscreen
