It is available in two models, one with 3G Wireless capabilities powered by AT&T®, and the other with Wi-Fi®/802.11b/g capabilities. The Nook also features a 2GB Internal memory/storage that stores up to 1,500 eBooks and memory expandability via microSD™ expansion slot.

Features

The Nook is an e-reader that allows users to browse and shop for eBooks wirelessly with more than a million titles available and more than 500,000 free eBooks. It lets users read newspapers and magazines and lets them browse complete eBooks for free in Barnes & Noble Stores. Users can then directly load and read PDFs on the device. The Nook supports EPUB and eReader formats and features speakers, headphone jack, a built-in Merriam-Webster's Collegiate® Dictionary. It is also compatible with multiple devices such as iPad™, iPhone®, iPod Touch®, BlackBerry® and PC. Other features on the Nook include LendMe™ technology (beta) which allows users to lend their books between nook™, iPad™, iPhone®, iPod Touch®, BlackBerry®, PC and Mac OS®, Android™ Operating System, quick page turn by hard key, personalize screensavers with support for JPG, PNG, GIF and BMP images, Over-the-Air software updates, games such as chess and sudoku. The Nook measures 7.7 x 4.9 x 0.50 inch and weighs 11.6 oz. (328g) for the wireless option and 12.1 oz. (343g) for the 3G option. It is powered by a rechargeable lithium polymer battery that provides users with up to 10 days with wireless off operating time. The Nook WiFi retails for $149 while the Nook 3G retails for $199.
