Perfect use as a digital book.
8 February 2014
Summary: Works completely as it should. Ease of use with transferring book. Good battery life. Images come out as if they were printed in B/W paper - but not bad. Can still get to a browser in a pinch - don't expect much if you wanted to surf the web. Not designed for that unless you root the device to do more than org designed too.
You almost did not read books before? You will read a lot with this thing!

Summary: So far I like this device a lot. It's great for reading. I almost do not use the GlowLight feature so I do not know how long it will serve - I've heard it got broken pretty soon. However I could not make the Social Network feature have working so I can not use Gmail and browse other than B&N sources. This is why I mark it 4, not 5. But again in terms of convenience for reading, I feel very comfortable with this stuff.
Excerpt: I've been wanting an e-reader for a while now; as much as I love physical books I'm not married to them, and I've always been willing to embrace the digital. It's just... oh, those LCD screens! So hard on the eyes! I am a person who will sit down and read for hours, so it's important that the...
Excerpt: This has been one of my worst upgrade experiences ever. The bulk of my ebook library (now over a decade old) is in .pdb. While I've seen claims that I can download ePub files from eReader.com, I haven't been able to do so; and there has been no help from either eReader.com or BN.com. I could have...
Summary: I bought this used as a second reader. I already have a Kindle keyboard. I wanted an easy, portable way to get the library books not available for Kindle. So far, I still like my Kindle better. It is easier and more intuitive than the Nook. The home screen is simple and straightforward compared to the Nook Touch. It has taken me some effort to figure out how to navigate around the Nook to do what I want to do.
Summary: Great little e-reader! Pros: Better e-ink display/contrast then the Sony PRS-T1, and Kobo Touch. Easy to set-up and use the menus, wireless, lettering font/size, and does not slow down when using a microSD card with 1620 e-books on it in PDF format, which is why I tried out the Nook Simple Touch and the Kobo Touch.
Amazing. if you don't care for whispersync, it's perfect.

Summary: i think this is a better reader than the kindle in almost every aspect. it feels better, better made, i like the customizable buttons on the side great price point, very quick e-ink. will take virtually any format of ebook, while kindle only takes .mobi and pdf. the format of many ebooks is ePub, and this takes it just fine. the 2 draw backs... the layout of the device is kind of annoying. browsing to get to the books you read regularly is kind of annoying.
Light, simple, great display; everything you want in an ereader

Summary: For a simple ereader, look no further than this Nook simple touch. Very impressed at the features, size, low eight and the awesome eink display! If you like to read books, newspapers and such, then this simple device is all you need. The downside is that its a very limited device; can only use it with B&N's system, so you can't even use web browsing, email and such. I'm very surprised this doesn't come with simple apps like sudoku!
