Overheats,Told to exchange
Summary: Everything works great as far as internet, apps, etc. but it keeps overheating and will turn itself off until it is cooled down. I guess this is a common problem so I will exchange for another. Good other than that but it should not overheat.
Summary: I bought this as a gift for my preschooler. At 4 1/2 he constantly wants to play games or watch youtube videos on my iPhone. The Nook Hd+ was a wonderful way for him to have his own "big phone" to play apps and watch Thomas the Train. :-) Very reasonably priced, and in my opinion, a better deal than an iPad for a kid this age. The large 9" screen is a wonderful size, yet light and easy to handle. Wonderful to travel with.
Summary: I have not found the unit to be as "intuitive" as have other reviewers. After a few days of experience, I bought a book to help me learn and navigate and that has made the experience of getting started much easier. One annoyance is the exercise of turning the device on. The idea of moving the circle at the bottom of the start page into a target seems juvenile. If I want to read something or navigate, I want to turn the device on and use it without "finding the target.
