Excerpt: Kindle paper white is a wonderful device. I can read on it for endless hours. But there is a serious drawbacks. Amazon does not sell ebooks in this region. You have to do a workaround by providing some US location as address. This works most of the time. However, Amazon is monitoring the device IP on a random basis. If you are unlucky like me, you will get an email to provide a utility bill to the provided address as an identity check..
Summary: As a pure reading device I'm very happy with the Kindle paperwhite, it has a great soft-touch feel, weighs next to nothing and the new screen is superb. Haven't even had to charge it yet. That's really all it's good for though, there's an in-built browser but it's barely usable with the e-ink screen, even basic sites like Wikipedia are a pain to use. Shame there's no headphone socket too, which could've been used for Audible with WhisperSync.
Pros: Good screen for reading, feels nice in hand, lasts ages
Amazing new Kindle is nearly perfect except for ads in the non-ad version

Summary: So far, I love my new Paperwhite Kindle. I've been using an aging keyboard Kindle 2, waiting for a version with a built-in light like this. Amazon really got it right with the light on this one. The high resolution screen is noticeably easier to read, and the user interface is well thought out. The form factor is also an amazing improvement.
Worthy upgrade over prior models but light is not even

Summary: Length: 9:13 Mins While I think this is a worthy upgrade over prior versions of the Kindle, there is some unevenness of the light which is most noticeable when in a pitch dark room. The light is not very uniform although still the best lighted e-ink available. There are green and pink patterns to the light.
Excerpt: This is my third Kindle and by far the best. It's easy to use and the screen is clear and bright. It's about one and a half weeks old and the battery is still going strong. The only criticism I have is that there appears to be no way to turn off the back light which would make the battery last even longer.
Excerpt: Had another reader for a couple of years. This Kindle Paperwhite reader is everything the other one isn`t. Smooth page swipe, adjustable backlight, hundreds of installable books ( via the Calibre program if you have some already) into a good size memory.Quick operation and search, and long battery recharge life.
