Does not last long
14 April 2015
Summary: The Paperwhite is great as long as it works. Unfortunately they don't work very long if you use it and Amazon will not stand behind their product. I am disgusted with Amazon and their policies! We have three of these devices, the oldest less than 2 years old.
Kindle makes YOUR personal documents SECOND CLASS.

Summary: It may not seem like an important issue to people who mostly do casual reading or who read fiction. But for people like students, researchers, and other professionals, this is a big deal because all your ebooks don't come from Amazon.
Pros: Amazon Kindle provides support for notes and highlights, but this support is limited their books only.
Cons: Poor support for personal documents! Notes from Kindle For PC are not copied to Kindle personal documents! If you ever uninstall K4PC, you will lose EVERYTHING! Also Personal docs do not support the same quality as regular ebooks.
Excerpt: There is no where in the description on the TESCO site that this is the the version that delivers Amazon Adverts over your wifi. I could have bought this cheaper on Amazon if i knew it was the "with special offers version".
Excerpt: I bought this to go on holiday and not have to carry too many books. It has been well worth it and I would recommend it particularly if you want to read in the sun. As a reluctant kindle reader I am now converted!
Excerpt: I have now owned the Kindle Paperwhite for over 2 weeks and find it almost impossible to use, despite having read and reread the instructions which are, as so many things are these days, quite impossible to apply to my machine.
Excerpt: A fantastic product, it has made me a reader again. Having a clever illumunated display makes it possible to read in a dark room, in bed, or outside in bright sunlight with equal clarity. The only negative is that we wil have to buy another one now to stop us fighting for it!
