Summary: According to my ex, for whom's birthday this present was, it is a great machine with already a load of books on it. Pitty it arrived a few weeks laten due to whatever. But still a good product.
Summary: i found this to be a great reader and read most of my books with no problem at all. i gave it 4 stars because it was not back lit but other than that it is awesome. i like it better than the paper white ebook reader amazon sells.
Summary: I have noticed something about PDF files into the Aluratek Libre Pro: if the file origin is a conversion from a formatted text (let's say for example a converted word document through PDF virtual printer) there is no problem, even when it has a few images into it.
Summary: First of all this is not e-ink, its e-paper. Big difference but still easy on the eyes. Very versatile. Love being able to listen to audiobooks on it, or music while I read. Seems to be finicky when you first put a SD card in it, had to hard reset it. But after that all was well.
Summary: I picked up the Aluratek Libre locally on a Black Friday sale. For the price I paid it's a good little reader. I already have a Kindle 3 and it blows the Aluratek out of the water in almost every category. However the Libre has a leg up when it comes to PDFs.
Summary: picked up my libre color at a menards promotion, 30 bucks why not try it? most of the places i'd take it to have no wi fi- hardly any cell service at that. i do like that it supports many file types in the book, audio and video formats.
Summary: This is my second Libre Ebook. By mistake, I blew up the first one! This is a great reader for the novice. If you don't want bells and whistles, this is the one for you! You can bookmark and search and all the cool things. It does NOT connect to the internet.
Summary: Product is identical to Ectaco Jetbook. Licensed by Aluratek from Ectaco, but Aluratek developed better software for it. I may order 1 at this price as a backup for Jetbook. Don't need bells or whistles, internet, or touch screen.
Pros: Great ereader, no frills. Sale-under $50. Easy on the eyes, drop and drag books onto your micro SD card, insert and voila. I gave my sister a 2 gig micro SD card in an adaptor, already formatted with folders full of bestsellers (Contemp, Horror, Fantasy, Mystery,Non-Fic, etc...). Showed her the e...
Cons: This one won't update. I'm no novice. Have updated 5 other ereaders, various brands + complexity. This one is no go. Read mobile forums, others with same problem. Also...may have the Ectaco quirk; do NOT put parenthesis () in folder/ book title names. May or may not recognize them. Parenthesis in...
