  • Summary: i found this to be a great reader and read most of my books with no problem at all. i gave it 4 stars because it was not back lit but other than that it is awesome. i like it better than the paper white ebook reader amazon sells.

It is not a best choice ,but it is cheaper than others :) You must get one.

tremusa27, Ebay
9 February 2013
  • Summary: It supports mp3. Can be read txt,mobi,fb2,prc,pub,pdf,rtf etc. If you want to listen mp3 while reading ebooks ,or searching ebooks; system is going a bit slow down. There is no external speaker ,so you must use an earphone. First time boot up is very slow ,bu after you can read and explore faster.

Aluratek and PDF... here's the dilema...

Alfon "alfranbrelo", Amazon
20 February 2012
  • Summary: I have noticed something about PDF files into the Aluratek Libre Pro: if the file origin is a conversion from a formatted text (let's say for example a converted word document through PDF virtual printer) there is no problem, even when it has a few images into it.

Good Beginner eReader...

JessMikey, Amazon
16 February 2012
  • Summary: First of all this is not e-ink, its e-paper. Big difference but still easy on the eyes. Very versatile. Love being able to listen to audiobooks on it, or music while I read. Seems to be finicky when you first put a SD card in it, had to hard reset it. But after that all was well.

Surprisingly good for PDFs

Jason L., Newegg
13 February 2012
  • Summary: I picked up the Aluratek Libre locally on a Black Friday sale. For the price I paid it's a good little reader. I already have a Kindle 3 and it blows the Aluratek out of the water in almost every category. However the Libre has a leg up when it comes to PDFs.
  • Pros: Lightweight. Inexpensive. Good PDF support.
  • Cons: Screen contrast could be better.

  • Pros: Easy to use, great battery life. Easy to add books and remove some. Doesn't hold as many books as my Kobo. But can read Mobi/kindle format.
  • Cons: Doesn't hold as many books as my Kobo.

21 January 2012
  • Summary: picked up my libre color at a menards promotion, 30 bucks why not try it? most of the places i'd take it to have no wi fi- hardly any cell service at that. i do like that it supports many file types in the book, audio and video formats.

Good Bargain

Yvonne M. Patterson "casual reader", Amazon
19 December 2011
  • Summary: This is my second Libre Ebook. By mistake, I blew up the first one! This is a great reader for the novice. If you don't want bells and whistles, this is the one for you! You can bookmark and search and all the cool things. It does NOT connect to the internet.
