Another Brooks' classic

  • Excerpt: OK so I have other top comedy movies but this one does have the ultimate combination of ingredients to put it right up there and being a Mel Brooks movie without question it deserves to be. After watching this movie you will never look at these actors and actresses in the same way.

  • Excerpt: Mel Brooks as always been one of those filmmakers that when he gets it right he makes a classic (The Producers 1968, Blazing Saddles 1974) but he is also prone to go badly astray from time to time (Robin Hood: Men in Tights 1993, Spaceballs 1987).

  • Excerpt: When I first saw 'Young Frankenstein' many years ago, I thought 'Oh yeah, Mel Brooks film, lots of gross humour about bodily functions etc.' I must admit that the only other film I had seen of his at the time was 'Blazing Saddles', and so I wondered how baked beans could make an appearance in this.
