Summary: As a lifelong fan of the knockabout comedies of the 1930s, I really didn't want to like this. But how wrong I was - it's brilliant and a real tribute to the original Stooges. Fantastically silly, packed with great performances and manages to be 'modern' while still being loyal to the Stooges of old. I haven't laughed so much at a film since 'Airplane' and this is probably the Farrelly Bros' best film IMHO.
Summary: They weren't very funny the first time round, but this vrsion is truly painful. We sat down as a family to watch but gave up after 20 minutes as its just not funny. Even then 12 year old could not see the point. Stupid, yes, but that's all. We are going back to the old Laurel and Hardy.
Summary: This was always going to be a risky project. Firstly could anybody find three actors who look, sound and gel together like the original Stooges? And secondly can the humour which is fine in 15 minute segments stretch to 90 minutes? The answer to both questions is a resounding YES. In an absolutely brilliant piece of casting Chris D is uncannily like Moe Howard in looks, voice and mannerisms and Will Sasso comes a very close second as Curly Howard.
Summary: What a total utter and complete load of tosh. Leave your brain at home this is almost as unbearable as "Jack and Jill". Extraordinarily primitive not dumb dumbest but dumbest ever. Avoid at all cost.
Summary: A lot of negative "official" reviews some saying this wasn't funny. Sorry but I'd have to disagree. I liked this movie as it was suitable for kids ( PG rating ) but also had AO humour that went way over kids heads and wouldnt have even been noticed by them.
Summary: I must admit, pure comedy isn't usually my thing. I didn't really know what to expect from this film - and I was pleasantly surprised when it turned out to be better than I imagined! The thing about this film is that it's actually more than just straight comedy, it has a story which gave me warm fuzzies by the end. And yes, some of the comedy is silly, but sometimes we need a bit of silly :) Some parts were so unfunny that they were funny - and I enjoyed that!
