Summary: Not as bad as I thought, but still not good. Robert De Niro. Susan Sarandon. Diane Keaton. Robin Williams. Amanda Seyfried. How did they get it wrong? Wait... what? Katherin Heigl and Topher Grace? Oh... That's why. To be fair, I'm not as much a Heigl basher as others. She didn't bother me here, as the whole film is so fluffy that any performance wouldn't bother you.
Summary: A few laughs but an extremely lacking film. Such a shame as a fantastic cast, you wonder why some of them read the script and thought it worth their while (Amanda Seyfried). The storyline is obvious and somewhat lacking, felt like it was building towards a climax that never arrived. If you've nothing else to watch then give this a go but lower your expectations then you won't be disappointed.
Summary: The film seems to polarise attitudes but I think this may help you decide whether it’s a rental for you. If you are young, liked ‘The Bachelorette’ or ‘The Hangover’ then give it a miss. If you are older, enjoyed ‘Town and Country’ and don’t have a left of centre dislike for rich Americans then I think you will enjoy it.
