Summary: At first I thought cheesy, a bit over the top performances, way too perfect honest working people, etc but the night softened me and now I say - really lovely family movie that will bring you a couple of genuine smiles and tears. It would be a pity to miss it just because the view of the life there is pictured too rosy. That's grown-ups' complaint for everything - children certainly do not care for that.
Conclusion: Watched this with my 10 and 13 year olds. Glued to the screen. A simple film with excellent characters and a wonderful story based on a real life dog back in the 70's. the film made us all laugh and cry.... Would definately recommend this film for slightly older children, we will be buying so we can watch again. love it..
Conclusion: I saw this film in Australia last year with my daughter, her husband and his mother. It wasn't a film that i planned to see but we all really enjoyed it. It is a real family film and something that the children will enjoy as well.
Summary: This is a beautiful, funny, poignant film. You will fall in love with the dog, the people and a landscape that is so starkly beautiful. One of the best movies of the year. It will stay with you long after you finish viewing it. It is a film you will keep going back to watch over and over again.
