Summary: Owen McKenna, Rio Rancho NM. Good entertaining film. The illusions performed in this movie were impressive, some good old magical tricks were used. The 4 Horsemen as they were called, each played their perspective roles well.
Excerpt: J. Daniel “Danny” Atlas, Henley Reeves, Jack, and Merritt McKinney were invited by Arthur “Art” Tressler to perform as the Four Horsemen. FBI agent Dylan Rhodes and Alma Dray from Interpol are tasked to investigate the mysterious heist of robbing a bank by the Four Horsemen. The pair approaches an ex magician names Thaddeus Bradley.
Excerpt: I'm sure that if you look closely (as the film suggests in the opening) you will be able to pick apart the flaws in this fun caper - but I don't like to over-analyze things. Now You See Me just provides a great time - and features a killer cast - in one of the more enjoyable films I have seen in 2013.
Excerpt: When I originally saw the trailer and saw the storyline for this lil gem I knew it was a gimmie so to speak that I would be going to see it at some point. Well it didn't happen till it was available on dvd however it was well worth the wait! Like I fore mentioned earlier the storyline is original and a breath of fresh air in a less then spectacular year for movies so far.
Excerpt: A team of illusionists(Jesse Eisenberg, Isla Fisher, dave Franco, Woody Harrelson) pull of some million dollar heists over the whole world, which is why they are hunted by the FBI and Interpol(Mark Ruffalo and Melanie Laurent)... I actually don't know why everyone hates "Now you see me". It was not a spectacular movie but it was not bad at all.
Summary: Now You See Me has it all, an interesting concept, a fantastic cast, cool magic tricks, stylish action sequences, and a car chase, basically anything you could want from a high(er) concept thriller, this film delivers. The third act is a bit underwhelming, but that did not change how much fun I had with this film.
