Summary: Imaginative and visually engaging this movie could have been really great. Unfortunately there are a few too many characters and it takes too long for the story to settle down and become something you want to stay with. However even with it's flaws it is worth sticking with for the emotionally charged ending. Just enough clues are there to figure things out just before the big reveal, which is always satisfying.
Summary: As previously mentioned in other reviews it seems like a low budget 'made for TV' kind of viewing experience however as the plot unfurls it becomes extremely immersive and really turns into an inspiring tale of redemption. Its definitely one for those who can get past acting and budget and really get inside the story. Easily worth a watch.
Summary: This film took a while to establish an understanding of the plot. It started off being disjointed although it slowly unravelled into an intelligent and heart-warming look into human nature with the plot coming together and climaxing in a moment of suspense and revelation. Well worth persevering with and definitely worth a watch.
Summary: A decent plot idea spoiled by sub-rate acting, and a lack of budget. It has the feel of a made for TV movie with small screen special effects and a script that moves so slowly that its easy to lose interest. Any suspension of disbelief is shattered by a hammy attempt at wackiness from the 'blind man' character; a 3rd rate actor overplaying his part most unconvincingly.
Summary: A tricky film to review as I nearly turned it off after 5 minutes. I'm really pleased I persevered. It initially looks like it was made for Hallmark or some other cheesey real-life drama network. It is filmed on Digital, as apparently it was made with a Zero budget, which gives it a Made for TV look, but what the filmmakers achieve with their limited resources is quite amazing. A truely moving tale of guilt and redemption. The effects are top drawer too.
Summary: Odd mix of teen fantasy and sci-fi, featuring a bad guy with a nose from a joke shop and attire consisting of carpet cut-offs. I wanted to like this more than I did, the non linear narrative not helping in this regard.
Conclusion: A highly original and completely absorbing film that somehow ended up getting lost in the cracks..Its low budget but this film squeezes every dollar it has in the most effective way;'s creating some great visuals and a storyline that will have you gripped from the start.Stand out scenes include Jacob showing what the "beat of the world" is and Ink's realisation of the truth..A masterpiece that if you can forgive the budget is definatly a criminally ignored classic.
