  • Summary: It really had to be a British to dare to do a movie about death ... and be successful. Indeed, if most of the recent comedies I have seen just made me smile, this one brought me to hilarity. I specifically wanted to congratulate Alan Tudyk, who plays his role with an exquisite humour.

  • Summary: Despite swindling in its title – naming the film Death at a Funeral without anyone actually dying – Frank Oz’s black humour comedy is in fact quite an honest film, fusing realistic funereal incidents to a considerably less realistic whole and letting the audience experience it through the eyes of...

  • Summary: Death At A Funeral is a remake of a 2007 British comedy by the same name, and is usually not the type of film I go for. For starters, I hate Chris Rock, and I really couldn't see a film about a funeral being all that funny.

  • Summary: I'm always up for a little dysfunction, and this film delivered. Finding out awkward family secrets is bad enough, but to learn of them during said family member's funeral is infinitely worse.

  • Summary: Yeah, so what, I really enjoyed this film. It was always crude without even trying its hardest to be, and the cast did a wonderful of job of making me laugh for the best part of this film.

  • Summary: One of the funniest films ever! Non-stop hilarious from the moment it starts 'til the very end. Superb ensemble piece, with superior cast; blackest humor possible. (Speaking of which, there is also a black-cast remake of this film, done a few years later, that is excellent, too).

  • Summary: If the film is so close to the original as to also be pretty much disposable once its over for sharedsorrows.com, at least it as well serves up a healthy amount of laughs during its very brief and brisk run time.

This British version of Death at a Funeral is the absolute funniest!

  • Summary: Oh my, this is a wildly funny, black comedy! And this British version puts our American version to shame; there's no comparison. Matthew MacFadyen, my favorite actor, is the solid straight man who holds this film together.

  • Summary: This film has a lot of potential but it just falls down in every category. I feel as if the film tries just a bit too hard to be funny and I laughed maybe three times throughout the film as a result.
