Summary: Oh dear. I really wanted to like this film, after all the premise was good and with capable actors it should have been a great action movie. Unfortunately the script is poor, leaving the actors with little to work with and the plot is full of holes. Watch it if you must but have a backup film just in case.
Summary: It starts off ok and rapidly goes downhill. Cavill is a good looking boy and acts well but the plot is far too corny. The director is obviously obsessed with mirror shots. There were some interesting little bits but overall the only real winners here are Willis and Meaneys' bank accounts, Range Rover product placement and the Spanish tourist board.
Summary: There is a moment, our handsome young hero finds himself alone on a foreign beach, when you suspect the the beautiful perfection of his former life is about to be crushed into a gritty nightmare of horrific conspiracies. It is a very short moment, more beautiful people are soon at hand to populate the picturesque holiday postcard settings of this amiable romp through the trivial world of violence, death and destruction that is the modern American action panto.
Summary: If you like good old fashioned action then I'd recommend this film. The plot is a little thin but it had suspense and good action sequences and a couple of twists. All the main actors gave good performances, Henry Cavill is a good good guy (gives me hope for superman) and Sigourney Weaver is always a good baddie so you know what you are getting there. This is not groundbreaking cinema but easy to watch and enjoyable.
