Summary: Kevin Spacey is excellent, as usual. Very depressing look at the unacceptable face of the capitalist system. No wonder we are in the current financial mire. The greed and self preservation at the top of the system is shown to us as these faceless people, financially, tear themselves apart. Gripping drama with powerful performances all round. It is fast moving and wordy, so you need to concentrate but well worth a watch.
Summary: Do you know what the word troglodyte means? If you answered yes, you'll love this movie. If you answered 'hang on, I've got a dictionary handy', I'm sure you'll enjoy it. If you said 'no', forget it.
Summary: Supposed to be based on true events which if so is slightly depressing. It makes you wonder how a system that was forged in the white heat of rational, libertarian, enlightened men in the late 18th century can have gotten so rotten. Anyway its an OK film, knowing the politics of Spacey its sort of yawn inducing that here's another broadside at republicans etc etc but then again they do seem more accident / gaffe prone in the corruptible stakes dont they?
