Reviews and Problems with All the Boys Love Mandy Lane

Rather old, tired and worn out
30 July 2013
Summary: Starts off completely lame with the normal juvenile mixture of puerile teen sex jokes and the badly worn out stock characters of jock, cheerleader, stoner, insecure girl, virgin girl, loner and token black. They are go to a remote house somewhere to party (yawn) where they have drugs and drink booze (ooooo, how radical), everyone takes their clothes off (although Amber Heard is hot it's still pathetic) and meet a mysterious hot ranch hand (yawn).
Summary: There is an overall sensation of 'already seen' throughout the movie. The psychological analisys of the characters is poor and it doen't allow the viewer to understand the reasons behind the extreme decision of the killer(s) to accomplish his/their massacre. Some no-sense scenes here and there, plus an insignificant finale, make this movie a total waste of time.
Summary: Group of teens go to ranch for weekend, men trying to seduce Mandy Lane, she’s having none of it, teens starts being bumped off, all isn’t what it seems. Promising start and well shot slasher which soon descends into nonsense with usual horror clichés and stupidity. You’re not really sure where it’s going early on which isn’t a bad thing and Amber Heard’s Mandy Lane doesn’t give much away.
Summary: A typical slasher movie concept, bunch of high school kids go to a house in the middle of nowhere, to be tracked down by a maniacal killer. It's been done really well so many times before, can this add anything new? I'm afraid the answer is a resounding no! It starts off with a scene setting intro, before moving on to the hi-jinks. It takes awhile to get going, and to be honest I never really cared for a single one of the main characters.
Conclusion: A great horror film with a sexy cast, the story is pretty original and lots of fun once everyone starts dying. Watch out for the twist as you never see it coming. Worth getting at this price to add to your horror collection.
