Summary: I understood that this was a used component. I needed a blueray that I could connect to my Pioneer Elite pro 720. I brought it the year before HDMI came out. This unit works perfect. If you have a TV unit without HDMI but ( red, blue, green )component. Then this unit will work for you.
Summary: The disc tray had skid marks on it. But on the other hand it said it only came with avi cord, but it acctualy had an avi cord and a vizio hdmi cord as well...so thank god I decied to wait to buy the hdmi cord for it.
Summary: The DVD portion of this player stopped working after little more than a year. It simply couldn't read the DVD's, both normal and Blu-ray, and spit them back out. However, the Netflix app still worked, so it was still useful.
Summary: I like that this bluray player works with my Visio TV remote. I haven't had any problems with this. I use it for streaming often as well as playing blurays and dvd's. The only nuisance is that you have to wait for the player to turn all the way on before the open button will work.
Summary: Worked ok for a few months and then it ate the disk one day and wouldn't give it back, e.g. all controls fail to respond after power on. Called technical support and they walked me through a reset process (press the power button for 1+ minute), and that worked, and then it stopped working again...
Summary: I was a little frightened to open the box after reading some bad reviews, but everything works great. Batteries were working. Dvds play well. I don't have any Blu- rays, so I can't say anything in regard to that. WIFI was so easy to set up. I had Pandora and Netflix set up within a half hour.
