Summary: Had this player for over a year and still works well. Use it to play my children's dvd's and watch my own movies. It gets used regularly - It's been left on for extended periods without any problem. It's been a good deal and a fine player for us.
Summary: A really decent DVD player with everything one would expect at this price point. The included SE-R0313 remote control has buttons spaced out well considering normal finger thickness of an average men in USA or Europe. The DVD player offers an ergonomic remote control, richness of functions (including the very useful zoom and slow), intelligent menus (big and easy to see and navigate through), and a legible display unlike any other player in its class.
Summary: Do not buy this DVD player! After only four months and after the ridiculous 90 day warranty the audio malfunctioned. The only solution Toshiba offered was to replace the DVD player with another probably cheap model at a cost to me of $50 plus the cost to ship the broken DVD player back to Tennessee. I have always said that one gets what one pays for and that is why I do not usually buy anything that is cheap. This DVD player is absolute junk!
Poor product quality - died within 4 months! Just past 90-day warranty

Summary: Bought the product in Costco as it looked v. attractive loaded with features. It performed good while it lasted, however, the unit died within 4 months just past the 90-day warranty period! Toshiba service was good enough to return my email within 36 hours offering a replacement product SD-6100 for $50.00. Ironically, this replacement product also has bad ratings everywhere - and, for product quality too! What a trip!
Summary: This DVD player looks and sounds terrific when it is working. I returned the first purchase because the remote control would not work. I exchanged it for the same unit the sound quit working after three weeks. (using HDMI cable to connect) If you purchase this Toshiba be sure to keep your receipt. There is a high likely hood that it will be a lemon.
Summary: I bought this model to replace my previous Toshiba DVD player, which broke down despite only moderate use. I thought that maybe it was because I had not used it too often, or some other mumbo jumbo. Point is, I bought this DVD player for use in my bedroom, where it shouldn't receive too heavy use, but sadly, found that despite the terrific price, there's a flaw: it's a cheap hunk of garbage. First, the positives: 1) Price.
