Summary: I bought this because it had a good price and great features. Then Toshiba pulls the plug on HD. And what do I wind up with? Five free movies that took months to get here and were not what I ordered. For $320. you would have to really really like these five movies.The player itself takes forever to load and does not play the DVD's I made myself very well. The menu feature is about useless on my homemades. What do I think would be fair?
Summary: Tell me how I can write a review for a product I never received? My order was cancelled by your company with no offer to get one from a different supplier, no gift certificate for my trouble. nothing. Not a very good impression for my first purchase.
Summary: Not only is the format dying giving me useless piece of equipment but they also decided to send me some junk dvds instead of the ones I selected in the offer. Not that everyone doesn't love 'Streets of Fire' and 'the Frighteners' but I have no desire to watch them. I feel ripped off. I hope Amazon decides to let us exchange for blu-ray players. Until then I won't be buying electronics from Amazon.
Summary: Bad enough the HD-DVD spec is dead. These guys wait months to send me the 5 free DVD disks and then they send the wrong ones. Oh, it had a nice little sorry note saying we hope you will enjoy this other garbage. Let me see, 5 HD DVD movies worth about another $100 to $120 on top of the monry I threw away on their player and other movies. And I can't return it! While Circuit City and Best Buy will give you 50% back twords a Blur Ray.

Summary: I bought this HD-DVD player only a few months ago... and now Toshiba retired their production, so I think there is not chance to get new titles in this format. Also, the promotion was with 10 FREE DISCS and I never received the last FIVE DISCS , and I sent the form with the ups code in the box...
Summary: I believe it is a bad policy when within thirty minutes you go back into your account and try to cancel an item that you just ordered and or unable to do so. You have to wait on it to arrive just so you can turn it around and ship it back poor business in my opinion. Over all I have always enjoyed dealing with Amazon but that for sure put a bad taste in my mouth and will make me think twice before using your service again.
