Summary: I've had this dvd player for a while, but I only use it now and then. It's small and does play U.K. dvds which was why I bought it; however, most of my dvds -- including the U.K. dvd I had bought this specifically for -- goes dark 90% of the time. For a few seconds the picture does turn light, only to return to being dark. So basically you're playing the dvd, but cannot actually watch the dvd. So what's the point in using a dvd player if you cannot visually see the film?
Summary: I thought maybe I would be lucky and it would work even after I read the reviews -- no such luck. Maybe I didn't hook it up right but I don't think so. When I hooked it up and I hit the open/close button, I can't even put a dvd in because it opens and immediately closes - am sending it back and going to Walmart. This is bullcrap!!!
Summary: The remote did not work and I was told by Customer Service that I had the option to return both player and remote for replacements or I could call a number I'd be given and get just a new remote, which number I did call, since that seemed the more logical course to pursue; however, once connected, I was told that yes, they'd send me a new remote, but I'd have to pay for it.
Summary: We bought this DVD player so we could watch some DVD's from the UK, which wouldn't play on our regular DVD player. We've had it for over a year now, and used it multiple times without any problems. It's a great inexpensive region free player.
Summary: We received this dvd player as a part of a employee reward program along with the TV (also from supersonic). The player is fairly easy to setup if you know what you are doing (which took some research on my part) because the book doesn't explain much. I have also tried numerous times to play 3 separate dvds (that all work on other dvd players) and the results are varied.
