Does what I bought it to do!

Nitpicky, J&R
23 January 2009
  • Summary: I bought this machine to transfer home movies from VHS tapes to DVD and it is doing that beautifully and reliably. So far! I've read that some dvd recorders quit after only a short time, but so far this one is going and going! I've had it about 2 weeks and have produced about 18 DVD's and they play just fine on my laptop and our other two DVD players, both different brand names. (NOTE - You MUST finalize or the DVD's will NOT play on other brand DVD players.
  • Pros: Consistent Performance, Easy To Set Up, Easy To Use

Demo Unit

NC Mike, B&H Photo
24 November 2008
  • Summary: I bought this in July and am just getting around to using it with any regularity - that should give you some idea about how busy I am. So far the unit has worked fairly well. The fan inside the unit is a bit noisy, and I'm guessing it's from being on display for who-knows-how-long. The fan also never sleeps, so we've gone to shutting off the power strip in the evenings to silence the unit.
  • Pros: Dvd and vcr recording
  • Cons: Fan never stops
