Excerpt: I bought this DVD Player about 2 years ago now for £99 from a high street shop which I thought was a total bargain seeing as it is a Sony. I have never had any problems with it at all and find it plays most formats of DVD. It also plays mp3s, DVD - RW / -R/ +RW and + R discs. QUALITY - Visual quality is fantastic, playing all DVDs in really sharp colour, it doesn't seem to stop halfway through a disc for a second like other DVD players do.
Pros: Excellent quality, looks good/ modern, can play most formats
Cons: Cannot play PAL in colour eg some extreme sports DVD's or old movies
Excerpt: I bought this as a treat for myself. This is yet another one of my Sony products that i've purchased! It cost £120 which is not bad as sony dvd players can be pretty pricey. Its really good, completely idiot proof, even my girlfriend knows how to work it out without too much trouble! Its really slim and no deeper than the height of a dvd case. It looks pretty slick, decked out in aluminium or something silver and its been really durable as i cart it everywhere.
Excerpt: I purchased the Sony DVP-NS330 DVD player earlier this year and was, and still am very impressed. It’s a simplistic but effective player. I chose this player for a number of reasons including the Sony brand. The player itself is compact and sleek, very attractive and slim-line. It is finished in metallic silver and has a fairly large display. The controls on the unit are organised very well.
Excerpt: Too good to be true... a Sony multi-region DVD player for so cheap! Well, that's what I intially thought anyway. Serves me right for not trusting amazon.co.uk. Delivered for free and just in time for Christmas usage, the DVP-NS330 is probably one of the best beginner DVD players your hard earned cash could be spent on at the moment.
Pros: Good quality sound and picture, Slimline Appearance .
Excerpt: What can i say about this DVD player, well nothing thats not been said already, before i got this player i was using my PS2 to play DVD's however, i imported a R1 DVD 'Seabiscuit', and needed to splash out on a player with multi-region capabilities to play it on. I did lots of research before making my choice, and i was certainly not disappointed! 5 minutes after it arrived and i was watching my R1 DVD brilliant.
Excerpt: When thinking about switching from video to dvd my intial concern was the price. Eventhough dvd player prices have reduced considerably since they first hit the market, there are still some pricey dvd players that do not give you value for money. After a lengthy search through the internet, i came across the Sony DVP-NS330, it'smain attraction being the price tag at only £78.99.
Excerpt: When I was choosing a DVD player - the style was very important - as well as the functionality of it. I chose the brand SONY - becuase of its superior name in the electronics market place. I previously owned a Pioneer - which although lasted a little while, did not last as long as I expected it to! Considering I have had my TV and video player for over 7 years - I expected a DVD player to last at least half that time - which it didn't!
Excerpt: This was the first DVD player i ever owned because before that i did not think that it was worth upgrading from my video player but i can tell you that the extra features and picture quality are well worth it.On this particular DVD player you can not only use the standard DVDS but you can play CDs and DVDs that have been recorded(However you cannot record on this particular model). The one main difference between video and dvd is the picture and sound quality which you...
Excerpt: This player worked fine for 6 months---and I was relatively happy with it's performance. It had component video and was relatively inexpensive--only real complaint was lack of CD-R support. Unfortunately, I started having problems with it making it through an entire movie w/o getting stuck. Within a matter of a month it has progressed to a point where it requires a hard reset 3-5 times to get through a single movie.
