Excerpt: My advice to anyone thinking of purchasing this dvd is DON'T. Since we purchased this product last December we have had nothing but problems with it. It has been repaired a number of times and is still not working properly.
Excerpt: Absolute rubbish. Needs an electronic degree to use it. You can`t record to HDD whilst watching a DVD and you have to switch it off to get timer recording to woek. If it`s on, it won`t record your programme. I can`t get videoplus to work either.
Excerpt: I bought this product to go with my Samsung TV as the `anytime` link is supposed to mean you use one remote to control both. I could not get it to work despite repeated calls to the Samsung helpline. I cannot get `videoplus` to work the user manual is 90 odd pages long and hard work to follow.
Excerpt: Not at all impressed! EPG very slow to refresh, can`t scroll through epg without scrolling through channels. Can`t watch the thing at all if you want to timer record and (as far as I can work out so far from the lousy instruction book) you can only record what you`re actually watching which seems to...
Excerpt: Am just about to take my 2nd one back. It seems that when running through an HDMI cable anything recorded to the Hard Drive will be ok the first time you use it but after that everything will jump, skip and freeze, making it impossible to watch. Am VERY DISAPPOINTED, not worth the money.
Excerpt: My preference has always been Toshiba with Phillips as a backup. I am on my fourth Samsung unit. The first did not respond to the remote, the second would not read DVDs and the 4th had faulty remote and dropped the picture when switching to Audio Description.
Excerpt: As a long time Humax-PVR owner, I decided to buy something more up to date. This was the biggest load of RUBBISH that I have EVER bought! SUPER unfriendly! Out of the box I got a no signal message from my NEW digital Arial. You have to switch it from analogue yourself. All the channels were found.
Excerpt: I am really disappointed with this.. after upgrading from a video player I just couldn`t decipher the instruction book, and I have two degrees... the guys from the shop had to come out twice, and the thing still won`t play DVDs I`ve recorded.. is being replaced today..
