Features

The Samsung DVD-F1080 provides advanced 14-bit video DAC that up-converts the resolution of ordinary DVDs to 1080p/ 1080i/ 720p high-definition for video and audio quality that you didn’t think was possible from a DVD player.. The HDMI (High Definition Multimedia Interface) requires you to simply connect your DVD player to your home theatre system with a single HDMI cable for it to transfer hi-definition video and audio from your DVD player to your TV, Home Theatre or other digital AV components without loss of any digital signal. Not only that, the Samsung DVD-F1080 also features DivX (MPEG=4) playback that allow you to play DVDs and CDs that have DivX movies downloaded via computer on the large-scale TV. In addition to that, the Samsung DVD-F1080 also features multi progressive Scan Output (PAL/ NTSC) that scans individual picture lines in sequence rather than alternately to maximize the clarity of digital images while bringing new realism to your DVD viewing experience. There is also the advanced 14-bit video DAC (digital-to-analogue converter) feature that produces up to 16384 colour values, as opposed to 1024 with 10-bit processing, providing extended dynamic contrast and detail with natural and smooth graduation between highlights and shadows. Additionally, it also features video processing running at a high-speed of 108 MHz to boost image resolution as close to the original DVD source as possible, allowing you to enjoy more life-like pictures. The Samsung DVD-F1080 is also compatible with Dolby Digital Surround Sound. For added convenience, it also features child protection. In terms of playability, the Samsung DVD-F1080 is compatible with playback medias including DVD, DVD-R, DVD-RW, DVD+R, DVD+RW, CD, CD-R and CD-RW as well as playback formats including MP3, WMA, VCD, SVCD, JPEG, MPEG-4 and DivX. In terms of connectivity, the Samsung DVD-F1080 has an HDMI output, component video output, composite video output and coaxial digital audio outputs. The Samsung DVD-F1080 also comes with a micro-size remote.

My new DVD player Samsung F1080 starts skipping towards the end of each DVD. I tried the same DVDs on other machines and they work fine. Any ideas?
