Summary: If your interested in buying a DVD player your options are far and wide. With hundreds of retailers both online (such as ebay and Amazon) and offline (such as supermarkets and Argos), offering an almost endless list of DVD players ranging in price from next to nothing to pretty damn expensive, your spoilt for choice. Towards the budget range of players is this Samsung DVD-D530 DVD Player which retails at around £34.99 (depending at your choice of shop.
Pros: Good Value, Playback Quality & File Types, Easy To Use
Summary: We purely wanted a DVD player for the sole use in our bedroom to accompany our 32 inch Panasonic TV, didn't want anything too flash or expensive but wanted it to last a good few years. THE SPEC: It is black and has a scart socket at the rear along with the usual phono output for sound, component and composite video. Has a handy USB port for streaming content such as pictures or anything from your PC.
Summary: We used to own the Samsung D530 model DVD player and it was a good one, but it was replaced by another after about one year as we wanted to update. We paid about £15 for it from Amazon, which I thought was a pretty good price to pay. Inside the box, as well as the DVD player, was a manual, leads and a remote control - it all looked very simple and easy to setup and as I am fairly technically minded I wasn't too worried about it.

Summary: My boyfriend moved in with my last year and, once we'd decided he was going to make the move, I couldn't wait for him to arrive. The night before he was due to move in I went to bed feeling extra excited... There is one of two thoughts probably going through your mind right now, either "Ahhh how sweet" or "Pass me a bucket!
Pros: Easy to Use, Great Picture Quality & Modern.

6 January 2012
Summary: Having looked in the argos catalogue, this dvd player was the cheapest one that was a brand I thought was reputable, and with the features I needed (e.g playing dvds I had made of home videos on my macbook etc). In a way I am happy with this dvd player but there are a lot of cons that I would like to advise people on before they should consider ourchasing this model.
Pros: Works, but as a very basic dvd player
Cons: Remote does very little, and dvd player only plays from last point of viewing
Excerpt: "...one and eventually selected the Samsung DVD-D530 DVD player. I purchased the Samsung DVD-D530 DVD player from Dixons for £37.99 which I think is a very reasonable price for a DVD player. One of the first things that drew me to this DVD player is that it was modern looking and would fit perfectly in my TV cabinet in my living room. It is black and slim looking with LED displays and only weighs 1.8kg. There is a HDMI connection which something which ...
