Enhances movie quality on HD tv set but doesn't play HD DVDs

  • Excerpt: We just purchased this HDMI DVD player without knowing what is needed to play HD DVDs.  HDMI players do NOT play HD DVDs (that's what we get for not researching).  That being said, it was fairly inexplensive (retail ~$75, paid ~$55) and it does enhance the video quality of regular DVDs on our HD TV.  The HDMI cable is not included-I think it is a separate purchase for all HDMI players and not all HD TVs have the needed connection so research before you buy.
