Summary: Very satisfied with unit. Pretty easy to use. You don't find these units to often anymore. Makes dubbing from HDD to DVD easily. Has all input output connection I need and more. Nice unit overall.
Summary: I purchased this DVR because after the digital conversion my VCR was worthless for recording TV programs and I wanted something with a built in digital tuner (I am one of the few people left who get their signal with an antenna in the attic) and records onto a hard drive without signing up for the monthly cost of TiVo or a similar service. There aren't a lot of options out there and I am glad I found this! The cost is fantastic and the unit works great.
Summary: This does everything I hoped it would do, almost. It acts as my digital broadcast to analog TV converter. It easily records shows to a hard drive. It easily dubs shows from the hard drive to a DVD drive. The picture quality is crystal clear. There is just one little thing that bugs me, which would have been so easy to include in the features! With my old VCR, when programming a recording time, I am accustomed to an option to record "one time" or "weekly".
Summary: My Brother-in-law has this recorder so I have experience with it. It is an excellent system, albeit tricky if you are not technologically inclined. I recommend scooping one up before they discontinue them all.
Summary: To watch TV before I have used a VCR so I could watch when I wanted. This is even better, reception comes in so clear. Had a little problem setting it up due to the cable box but is worth it. Would recommend it, and would buy another if needed. The price was good for something like this. And as always Overstock delivers fast.
Summary: Although this unit was refurbished, I could not tell it from brand new. Only one operating manual had been recreated from scanned pages, all others were original. The unit was everything I hoped it would be and more. However, it is not a unit for the technically challenged. It is somewhat complicated to set up and operate, but once one gets past the "learning curve", it has incredible capabilities. The printing on the remote is extremely small and hard to read.
Summary: THE Philips DVDR3576H 160GB Hard Disk/DVD Recorder WAS A VERY GOOD CHOICE AT THE PRICE I WAS PAYING IT WAS EASY TO SET UP AND OPERATE I HAVE HAD IT 2 MONTHS SO THE LONG HAUL HAS NOT HAPPENED YET
Summary: [...] I also own a PHILIPS HDRW720/17 DVD Recorder and I'm much happier with that model than the DVDR3575H. Philips got rid of the on-screen TV GUIDE feature in the DVDR3575H, which was VERY helpful in recording shows, in addition to having a TV GUIDE available for the following 7-14 days. The title of the show you were recording was automatically used as the default title.
Pros: Easy To Set Up, Easy To Use, High Capacity, Reliable
Summary: Bought this from [...] since B&H Photo was back-ordered, and here are my observations and comments:I've been using a Toshiba RD-XS32SU (HDD/DVD recorder with 80GB hard-drive)for about 3 1/2 years to copy video tapes to DVD and perform basic edits in the process. I also use the HDD/DVD recorder daily for TIVO type time-shift of TV programming, in addition to video editing.
