Summary: All we got was three years worth out of this unit. All of a sudden is just locked up, F07 error message, and that's the end of it. We used it maybe twice a week. What a piece! I will never buy another Panasonic appliance.
Summary: I bought this about 1.5 years ago, and from the get-go it would glitch on really bright events onscreen, like explosions. Now, even though I have rarely used it during the time I have owned it, I got the H07 error. This means that the motor has seized, so I have to trash it. Please do not buy this DVD player.
Pros: Simple, easy to use. All I really needed in a DVD player.
Cons: H07 ERROR!!! The manual said to send the unit back for repair. I figured it would be easier to just get a new DVD player so I ordered one. After it arrived (it was a new model Panasonic) I googled the H07 error (I should have done that first) and found
Summary: Other than skipping a bit on DVD-Rs, this was a great player until I got the dreaded H02 Error. I later found out from the web that this is common for Panasonic players. I read that it costs around $80 to fix. Come on! I can get a brand new player for that. And I did! Now I have a slim little Sony DVPNS725P Progressive-Scan that plays all my DVD-Rs great.Hopefully it will last more than a year and a half.
