Excerpt: Bought this as a replacement for a sony dvd recorder, which has only lasted for 2years. Hope this recorder lasts a lot longer than the sony. Nice looking dvd recorder, not quite the ease of use of previous player, though not difficult to use. Would critise the remote control, as there is no open and close button for dvd drawer, you have to do this manually, other than this no other critisisms.
Excerpt: Im impressed with this recorder, it can do a lot more than i need, only criticism is the manual could be more user friendly, e.g. jumping from one page to another on the same subject. Saying that, it is easy to use, once you know!
Excerpt: Having read previous reviews, I expected some difficulty with this products manual. That it would function well, and talk to my Viera TV was not in doubt, and the Viera link was, as expected, flawless. The manual is somewhat voluminous, but well enough laid out, and I mastered this nearly as quickly as my teenagers ! Having had previous Panasonic recorder/players may of course have helped.
Excerpt: Having recently bought a new Panasonic LCD TV, I bought the Panasonic DMR-EX78EB-K mainly because of the Viera-link function. I had a 6-year old Toshiba PVR and was the only one in the family able to use it properly to record things because it was so complicated. The Panasonic is simplicity itself - select a programme from the EPG, select Timer Recording (or even Series Link recording) and thats it. Its so simple, even my partners mum can do it and shes 80!.
Excerpt: Panasonic DMR-EX78EB-K Freeview+ 250GB HDD DVD Recorder - Black I purchased this recorder quite recently after researching the market from both a technical and commercial point of view. I have found the item to be well made and, despite some reports of difficulties in installing this item, I found the installation instructions to be clear though not always concise.
