It might not have a catchy name, but it'll serve your AV needs well

Excerpt: Although quite old now, when first released, the Panasonic DMR-EX75 was a top of the range DVD recorder. Obviously, the market has moved on now, but, despite one or two minor annoyances, this machine still stands up pretty well offering a well featured machine that will be suitable for most people's viewing and recording needs. For an old machine (in technological terms), it packs a lot into its slender frame.
Summary: I've now owned the Panasonic DMR-EX75 for a month and I'm really pleased with my purchase. I'm glad I bought the Panasonic DVD recorder rather than a Sony, which is not as quick to start recording. I think the recording quality is excellent especially in XP and SP mode, even LP mode is not bad. I’ve not tried recording in EP mode. I’m a little disappointed, its not got a HDMI input though. Its not quite “future proof” as Panasonic claim.
Pros: 160GB hard disc, starts recording in 1 sec, picture quality of recordings is excellent
Summary: I own a E100H, which I suppose is this machine's little brother, one of the first. I was extremely impressed with the machine after I bought it about 4 years ago, and it still serves me well. If anyone is thinking about buying this new machine then I would say 200% YES - get it. You won't find an easier to use, more versatile, and useful machine on the market. The price is amazing too!
Summary: This is a nice recorder which works well and gives great picture quality on standard play. It is simple to operate and very versatile, but personally I don't think it looks good. That said, it's highly reccomended.
Summary: Excellent HDD DVD recorder, but unfortunately I was misguided into thinking it was a high-definition player, also because of the HDMI at the back, but this was not the case. It will upscale normal DVDs, but will not play high-definition DVDs :-( So if that's what you're looking for then this is excellent, just be aware of this so no one else makes my mistake and pays a lot of money for the wrong thing.
Pros: The menu's ease of control, excellent playback features and HDMI outputs a great picture.
