  • Excerpt: Think of the Panasonic DMR-E30 video recorder as a VCR that records on optical discs instead of tapes. To view a show, you just choose it from an on-screen menu. And if you record to DVD-RAM, you can selectively erase shows and reuse the recording space. The system also records to DVD-R. Setup is easy, because the device's clock is set from broadcast signals. The DMR-E30 will even play audio CDs.
